After months of preparing…our open classroom is open for business! I am so pleased with what the space has become! I look forward to all the exciting possibilities. For starters we have several homeschool enrichment classes being offered by the PT Cottage School Coop. American studies I, World Studies I, Habits of a Scholar, Find your Genius, and Math Lab.
These classes are being taught on Monday and Wednesday for ages 6-9 by our new Cottage School Coop instructor Heather Sanders! Tuesday and Thursday classes geared for ages 9 to 12 by myself, Amber Jones. More opportunities are bound to be added because the Open Classroom is Open for rental by other youth & family-oriented groups and independent educators too.
A giant thank you to Josh Jones for the beautiful new furniture, muscles, elbow grease and all the little details! Also, great appreciation to Danny McEnerney and the Jefferson County Fair Association for inviting us. I look forward to getting to know new faces and an exploring the learning journey together.
